Tell the Trump Administration: Rescind the ban on immigrants and refugees!
The Ninth Circuit Court ruled against President Trump’s executive order banning Muslim refugees and immigrants – but we cannot stop fighting until this ban is overturned for good.
President Trump’s executive order is deeply troubling and runs counter to our country’s founding principles – principles that generations of Americans have fought for.
America is a place where we have welcomed people of all religions and races to call this country home. We have opened our arms to people fleeing persecution and seeking a better life for themselves and their families. To now turn our backs is simply not who we are. It’s wrong and only does our country harm by making it easier for ISIS to recruit, by fueling discrimination and anti-Muslim sentiments.
Our first priority must be to keep America safe. That’s why refugees already go through 18-24 months of review – including rigorous screening by the National Counterterrorism Center, the FBI’s Terrorist Screening Center and the Departments of Homeland Security, Defense and State – before entering our country.
We can always look for ways to strengthen and improve that process, but a blanket ban that imposes a religious test is both wrong and ineffective. We cannot stand for it. We need 100,000 people to sign the petition to demand President Trump rescind the ban today.
Please join us and tell the Trump Administration: Rescind the executive order imposing a religious test on immigrants and refugees from entering our country.
