Tell the GOP: Don’t Rig the 2020 Census

The 2020 Census must continue the tradition of accurate representation because it will determine everything from the number of congressional seats for each state to the distribution of federal funds for roads, hospitals, and public schools.

But the Trump administration’s census plan will undercount minority, immigrant, and LGBTQ communities in a bold-faced attempt to lock Democrats out of power. This is clearly a political ploy, and it goes against the constitutional mandate to ensure that every resident is counted.
