High-capacity magazines have been involved in more than 65 mass shootings, in which 650 people were killed and more than 1,000 injured. But gun manufacturers still push these accessories to massacres, and the gun lobby still defends them. In fact, high-capacity magazines are easily available to civilians in most states without so much as a background check. Time and time again we’ve seen how high-capacity magazines can make deadly situations even deadlier – and it’s time to do something about it.
