The evidence is in, and the conclusion is clear: Unless we act quickly, the effects of climate change will be both permanent and devastating. But despite the facts, President Trump signed an executive order last month directing the Environmental Protection Agency to roll back President Obama’s Clean Power Plan, a series of policies that limit our country’s harmful carbon dioxide pollution.
We can’t afford to take a single step backward in the fight against climate change. It’s not some far-off threat: It’s today’s reality and today’s nightmare. Across the country, everything from the health of our communities to that of our economy is being threatened, and it’ll only get worse from here on out. The situation is urgent: We need you to speak out and tell President Trump that we must protect our environment and safeguard the progress we’ve made in the battle against climate change.
