Tell Betsy DeVos and the Department of Education: Use common sense and choose student opportunity over bureaucracy.

Due to a tiny formatting error, the Department of Education denied the University of Maine at Presque Isle’s application to participate in the Upward Bound program.

As a result, hundreds of low-income high school students will lose support that could have opened the door to a college education. If this isn’t bureaucracy at its worst, I don’t know what is.

Please, add your name to tell Betsy DeVos and the Department of Education to do right by our students and not to deny these applications on a technicality.
