Millions of people were impacted by these devastating storms — but government response has been haphazard, leaving too many people without the assistance they urgently need.

Contracts for relief work have ignored necessary oversights and audits, potentially wasting billions of taxpayer dollars without addressing the dire problems in places like Houston, Florida, and Puerto Rico.
