Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ recent overreach into states with legal marijuana, just days after California’s legal recreational marijuana rules went into effect, blatantly disregards the millions of voters who cast their ballots for legalization and regulation of marijuana.

States that have legalized marijuana have raised millions in additional tax revenue, kept revenues away from organized crime, and created many new jobs. By rolling back the enforcement guidelines for these states, the Trump Administration puts these benefits at risk, just to pursue an outdated agenda that disproportionately harms people of color.
